Soviet steam in Москва
Podmoskovnaya Depot is the ramshackle maintenance facility for steam locos in inner Moscow. We were taken there from Moscow's Richskaya station on a Saturday morning trip run by http://www.retropoezd.ru who seemed borderline perplexed to have some British cranks aboard though they were very hospitable and gave us free tea and a fridge magnet! Was a very good do though this would have been sensational http://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/trains/russia39.htm

Felt very intrepid but this is hardcore: http://www.internationalsteam.co.uk/trains/russia27.htm
