This picture was taken on March 28th and shows the Snaefell Mountain Railway tram 3 on the left and Manx Electric Railway tram 20 on the right. We took tram three up to the summit. Two days later, and after 121 years of service, tram number 3 ran away empty from the summit terminus and following a derailment tumbled down the mountainside and was destroyed. Just before Easter a catamaran from Liverpool hit the pier at Douglas causing injuries.
